During October last year, I went to Mussoourie which is situated in Uttaranchal, and believe me, it is nothing less than a heaven. For those who are fond of hill stations, there are few better places than Mussoourie. It was a 2 days trip and we enjoyed a lot. Mussoourie is a beautiful hill station sourrounded by the Himalayan mountains. First we went to to Dehradun and hired a tourist bus as we wanted to see Kempty water fall which is the main attraction of Mussoourie. Our journey started next day as we are not habbitual of mountain journey many of us got acclimatized first. However after few hours journey, we finally reached to Kempty waterfall its a 200 feet waterfall which was freezing. Then also some of our friends dared to bath under it . If anybody wants to be very close to nature and indulge in Eco-Tourism, Mussoourie is the best option.

We also had a great time trekking on the hills. During trek, we saw huge mountains covered with snow. The temperature in the area was a great and this made adventure sports really pleasurable. I found Mussoourie a great place for shopping. I bought good quality woolen clothes and carpets. In all, the trip to Mussoourie was very good, and very pleasing.

It was breezy day with a slight pinch of cold, when we put our foots forward to touch the holy and sacred land of Rishikesh in Uttaranchal. Designed and planned to sooth our exhausted nerves, the trip turned out to be an adventures one instead of routine trip of any destination. The key and hilarious element that made and carves our soul into an adventurous one is the river rafting in Uttaranchal on the tranquil banks. With its penchant river rafting, Rishikesh takes the breath away of travelers coming from sacross the world.

Darjeeling - An Unforgettable Experience

I am just back from a holiday trip to Darjeeling along with two of my friends it was a three day trip and it was just an unforgotten experience, with the combination of beauty and nature. During our stay, we visited the famous seven points of Darjeeling, which is considered to be the most panoramic of all. We visited the three Buddhist monasteries. When I saw the huge statue of Gautam Buddha. It was a wonderful experience as I could come closer with the Buddhist culture the symbol of love and purely rejuvenating parns the Ganga maiya (Goddess Ganges) and the rock garden park where I saw the replica of the famous Niagara falls. It was so lovely that we spend the whole day there giggling around and chomping good sniffs then I went to the famous botanical garden from where I could gather knowledge of various plants gather knowledge of various plants and flowers that were displayed. It was a great privilege for are to know that there are more than 60,000 medicinal plants used for producing medicines, especially for heart patients. I was so lost in the flower show that could in even presume when it went darn on day there; we went to visit the tiger hill, which is the ideal place to catch the glimpse of the famous snow covered peak of the Kanchanjunga Mountain. We were quite lucky that we got a glimpse of it. The other two friends of mine were so happy that they began to dance with joy. Those were the memories, I treasure and it still lingers in my heart, whenever I think of them.

I think Darjeeling is an ideal place to visit because it not only makes are familiar to Buddhist pilgrimage but it also gives an idea about the beauties of nature which is so fascinating and unique in all respect. Besides giving an educative value, it also makes one closer to nature and its beauty.

Bhedaghat - The Land of Marble Rocks

My native place in Madhya Pradesh is gifted with natural beauty and tourist attractions. Last time when I went to my home, I visited one of the most beautiful places around there. And it is already in the Indian and world tourist map.They are the Marble Rocks of the place of skoulpur . The place is called Bhedaghat situated near Jabalpur. Marble Rocks in itself are attractive and valuable to us. And in Bhedaghat We've the beautiful combinations of mables and water.

For Kilometers at a stretch, there are marblerock, white and high and River Narmada flows between these rocks for many kilometers. And it is a scene to watch especially during full moon night, riding on a boat in the river between Marble rocks is beauty beyond description. Another famous eco tourism spot is 'Dhanandhar'. It is a waterfall where water falls from a height of 50 metres over Marble rocks. And you can watch this sight from a distance of 20 metres. It is such a soothing expereince when the falling water showers tiny drops of water falls on you. Third place of interest is 'Chonsha Yogini an ancient tantric temple with statues of 64 tantric yoginis.

Ooty - Hill Station in South India

The latest destination I visited was Ooty. Ooty is a hill station in South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, nearly 565 kms. from Chennai. It is a heaven place full of greenery & beauty of nature. It was a pleasant season in the months of April-May, which turns a little chilly as you move to altitudes. We took a toy train from Mettupalayam which takes 5 hours to reach Ooty. It shows the beauty of the forests, tea gardens on the hills as it takes you through them at a slow pace.

We stayed at a resort in the outskirts & not in the city as it makes you come more closer to the nature. Our resort was beautifully placed on the steps of a hill which showed the tea cultivation around. As you enter the balcony, you can really get swayed away by the beauty of the climate & nature around. The places to visit are Botanical garden, a zoological park & a water park 'Black Thunder' as your retreat from the hills.

Some one has once said that if there is any heaven on earth then it is in Kashmir. The beauty of this place can easily enchant the mind of any individual. The snowy mountains, lush green grasses, forest etc. together creates a memorable moment in the life of a person. And that is the reason why thousands of tourists are attracted towards this destination every year. Gulmarg is the most beautiful place in the Kashmir to watch. In the month of December and January, this place is covered with snow. Doing skiing here is just fabulour or indulging into its world class Golf course. The Snowy Mountains and valley together creates a fabulous beauty.
