Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, also known as BSNL is the largest public sector telecommunication company in India which has more than 24% market share. Its headquarters are at Bharat Sanchar Bhawan, Harish Chandra Mathur Lane, Janpath, New Delhi. It has the status of Mini Ratna. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. BSNL has an estimated market value of $ 100 Billion. As on March 31, 2008 BSNL has a huge customer base of 31.55 million Wireline, 4.58 million CDMA-WLL and 54.21 million GSM Mobile subscribers. BSNL’s earnings for the Financial Year ending March 31, 2007 stood at INR 397.15b (US$ 9.67 b) with net profit of INR 78.06b (US$ 1.90 billion). This week, BSNL has annnounced recruitment of around 300 Management Trainee (MT) through an All India Test.

- Pay Scale : Rs. 24900-50500 Age Limit : 30 years. Relaxation in age as per rules
- Qualification : Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology degree or equivalent Engineering Degree with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in any of the following disciplines – (i) Telecommunications (ii) Electronics (iii) Computer/IT (iv) Electrical plus to years regular full time MBA for Telecom Operations and CA/ICWa/CS for Telecom Finance.
On successful completion of Probation-cum-training, the officer shall be appointed as Manager.
Selection Process : There will be an All India Competitive Examination. All the candidates will have to undergo the similar recruitment process which consists of the Written Examination, Group Discussion and personal Interview.
Application Fee : It is Rs 1500/- in the form of demand draft/ pay order drawn in favour of Senior Accounts Officer/Accounts Officer payable at the respective stations of telecom circle. SC/ST/PH candidates need not to pay the application fee.
How to Apply : Application in prescribed format in an envelope be marked “Application for the post of MTs (External Candidate) in BSBL” in bold letters on top of it and should be send to the respective DGM in the recpective CGM of the Circle concern where a candidate want to apply.
